How to play in 60 seconds
Gin Rummy is a two-player race to 100 points. Build melds, keep your unmatched cards low and knock before your opponent does.

The deal
Each player receives 10 cards. The rest form the stock pile; the top card is turned face up to start the discard pile. -

Build melds
A meld is a set (3 or 4 cards of the same rank) or a run (3+ consecutive cards of the same suit). Cards not in a meld are your deadwood. -

Draw and discard
On your turn draw one card - from the stock or the discard pile - then discard one card. Keep your hand at 10 cards. -

Knock
When your deadwood counts 10 points or less you may knock to end the hand. Face cards are 10, aces are 1, others count their number.
